In Las Vegas, Jason Cage is known as "The Beast Master." But his onstage feats of magic are nothing compared to the abilities he keeps hidden from human eyes. Jason is Prime of his vampire family, and once used his telepathic skills to tame wild werewolves. It's a talent that leads him to beautiful, sensual Sofia Hunyara, who instantly triggers all of Jason's primal urges. Sofia is destined to be his bondmate, but keeping her alive long enough to convince her of that fact will not be easy.
Sofia has no reason to trust Jason, or to believe his story about her family's secret history as Wolf Tamers. The only thing she's sure of is an overwhelming attraction that quickly develops into a scorching affair. If Jason's claims are true, can Sofia embrace her legacy -- when it means walking away from a soul-searing desire that's deeper than any she's ever known?

I so remember why I didn't finish this series right away. It just reads like an old woman or how my mom would write a romance book. Cheesy, not really dated, but will be dated because of Harry Potter references etc. Romance skimmed over like they were afraid their kids might read it and be all embarrassed. Anyway, this was an animal tamer vamp guy from Las Vegas who receives half of a coin amulet and knows what its about. He meets the woman with the other half when they are both summoned to San Diego. She is an Hunyara, I guess a new intro species ~ mortal decended from a werewolf and vampire mating several generations back. She has a psychic power to control werewolves and animals. So does he. Soooo of course Jason Cage and Sofia are natural bond mates because they have a similar gift.
The background story is that Sofia's cousin is a feral wolf (bitten, not born) and a hunyara as well. This group wants her as their alpha female to breed an uber race to take over the world. Sofia, a bunch of vamps and weres work together to help rescue her. Then there is also a situation of Sofia's dad in prison... They have to break him out too.
This book opened so many new characters all at one, I got confused as to who was a vamp or were until the end. Oh well. Since I do own all of these books, I'm going to read them. They are a super fast read even though this one was around 350 pages. There was no real thought involved until the intro to all these people at once that I thought were weres but were vamps too. Otherwise it was pretty good. Cheesy, but good. I did know that going in, so it's laughable.
